Move from a Playtron wallet

Move coins, NFTs, kiosk items, staked SUI and SuiNS names from the wallet your SuiPlay came with to a Rare Wallet you control.

The wallet your SuiPlay0X1 came with is a Playtron wallet. It signs only through Playtron's sign-in on the SuiPlay's original system. There is no recovery phrase to export, so if that sign-in stops working, whatever is on the address can't move anymore.

Move your assets to a wallet you control while the old sign-in still works. Rare OS reads the old wallet, lists everything in it, and tells you exactly what to send and in which order. You approve each move in the old wallet yourself.

Do this before you switch to Rare OS, or while the original system is still installed. Rare never sees your Playtron sign-in and cannot sign for that wallet.

Where to find it

  • During setup: the Move your assets to a wallet you control step when Rare OS first starts.
  • Later: Wallet, then Move from your old SuiPlay wallet. With no account yet, it is at the bottom of the Rare Wallet welcome screen.
  • Run setup again: Settings, Account, Run setup.

Move your assets

  1. Get an address you control

Use a Rare Wallet account that can sign: a passkey account, a recovery phrase, a Ledger or a Keystone. See Rare Wallet. Any Sui wallet whose recovery phrase you hold also works.

The first page shows your new address as a QR code and as text. Everything from the old wallet goes there.

If you have no account yet, or only a watched address, the page offers to set one up first. You can still look at the old wallet before that.

  2. Enter the old wallet's address

Type the address with the on-screen keyboard: a 0x address, or a name ending in .sui if you set one. On the SuiPlay's original system, it is under Wallet, at the top.

Rare only reads this address. Nothing moves until you approve it in the old wallet. The address is remembered on this device.

  3. See what's in it

Rare lists everything on the old address:

    • Coins
    • Collectibles
    • Kiosks, with listed and locked items marked
    • Staked SUI
    • SuiNS names
    • What can't move, with the reason
  4. Send each move, in order

Rare turns the list into numbered moves and shows them in signing order, each with what it sends. Next to them is a QR code of your new address.

Start the SuiPlay's original system, open the old wallet, and send each move to your new address in the order shown. Then come back to Rare OS.

Already on Rare OS? The original system stays on the SuiPlay in the boot menu. Hold Shift while it powers on (with a USB-C keyboard), pick the original system, send, then restart into Rare OS.

  5. Check again

Press Check again. Rare reads the old address again and rebuilds the list from what is left. Repeat until it says Everything that can move has moved.

The order

Rare puts the moves in order for you:

  1. Kiosks. A normal kiosk moves whole, with its listings and proceeds. A personal kiosk can't change owner, so its items are delisted, taken out and sent one by one.
  2. Staked SUI. It moves as it is and keeps earning.
  3. SuiNS names.
  4. Collectibles.
  5. Coins, last, so there is SUI for every fee along the way.

Large wallets are split into parts so each move stays within Sui's transaction limits.

Fees

Each move needs a little SUI for its network fee, paid by the old wallet. If the old wallet has too little SUI for every move, the list says so and how much more to send to it first.

What can't move

  • The pre-order Eternal NFT. It is bound to the address. Claim anything that needs it first.
  • Items locked by a transfer rule that can't be met. For example, a locked item in a personal kiosk: sell it, or move it with a marketplace that supports the collection.
  • Items listed through a marketplace's own listing. Cancel that listing on the marketplace, then check again.
  • Items held inside a game. Withdraw them in the game first.

After the move

Rare Wallet keeps watching the old address, so late airdrops show up too. If something new arrives, open Move from your old SuiPlay wallet again and check again.

Once nothing is left on the old wallet, you can remove the original system from the boot menu. See Go back to your old system.
