Fees and security

FAQ

Short answers about Rare's fees, royalties, contracts, security and what is not released yet.

What does Rare charge?

0.1% on trades through Rare Marketplace and 0.1% of launchpad mint proceeds. Nothing on listings bought from Tradeport, Drip or plain kiosks. See Fees and royalties.

Who pays the marketplace fee?

On a listing, the seller: it comes out of the sale price. On an offer, the bidder: it is added on top of the offer price. See Fees and royalties.

Does Rare take a share of royalties?

No. Royalties are set by each creator in the collection's transfer policy and go to the creator in full.

Are the contracts on mainnet?

Yes. Six packages are published on Sui mainnet. The contracts overview lists each package id with its status.

Are the contracts audited?

No third-party audit has been published. See Security for what you can check on chain and who controls the admin keys.

How do I report a vulnerability?

Email [email protected]. See Security.

Is the game SDK available?

Not yet. @rare/sdk and create-rare-game are not on npm. The Game SDK pages describe it ahead of release.

Can I claim Rare trophies yet?

Not yet. The trophies contract is on mainnet and Rare's attestation service is running, but no game has trophies on chain yet. Rare OS shows your Steam achievements in the meantime. See Trophies.
